In 2021, my husband David and I took and a leap and launched Zomer Meadows—a sustainable farm near Cooperstown, NY.
Our shared love for nature, food, and biodiversity combined with an urgent concern for sustainability had led us to dream about starting a farm for a while. But it seemed elusive, even impossible, until the pandemic shattered all previously held assumptions.
In the midst of quarantine, we knew it was now or never. We decided to reorganize our life so that we'd be able to provide others what we think is most valuable: true nourishment, in harmony with nature.
