Even if you don’t get paid, and there’s no bigger strategy, and it’s not a hobby you can stick with, and it comes out imperfect, and AI could have done it, or you could have bought one. Cause sometimes it’s worth making things, just to make them.

big felt sculpture


After my little felt sculptures were online for a bit, someone emailed to ask if I could make a life-size corgi that would resemble this little wooden toy. For a moment I thought it was a scam, but he was serious.

I got a big piece of styrofoam, an electric cutter, and an extra big needle poker. I have to say the cutting of the styrofoam released a lot of toxic smells. But it worked; I was able to cut the body of the corgi into shape, and layer wool on top by poking it into the foam.

He came out really good:
